this site is built with a few intentions:
gather, play, share
in the veteran stages of the internet, it seems more important to figure out ways to engage more intimately. with the entire world completely accessible at all times, i find it difficult to feel any sense of real identity online. building personal websites has become a safe haven for combatting this digital depersonalization.
here are a few things i am working on:
✿ girlnet: an ode to the old, hyperfeminine, hyperexpressive internet
✿ more documentation about my learning/building process added to my digital garden
✿ i want to try to make the whole site as mobile friendly as possible
✿ i want a comment/faq box feature... not sure yet how im going to implement it
would you still love me if i was a 20 something year old girl moving through space and time with only the delusions of purpose to give her form and structure? what if she wakes up everyday not knowing if she is liberated or afraid by this meaningless grandeur? what if she refuses to loosen the grasp she has on the hand of her childhood self?
these are websites that are being fed data off of a google spreadsheet
✿ antisocial media: just for fun
✿ ourgoodreads: book reviews from people with good taste
✿ infinite space: a void you are welcome to scream into
✿ my reading list: the first sheetsite i built
here are resources to help you build your own website
✿ for sheetsites, see this tutorial by chia amisola
✿ my notes on the small web
✿ making a small website by ada.wrong on virtualgoodsdealer
✿ i use a lot of chatgpt
you're weaving through a forest seeking something, but nothing in particular. you turn rocks hoping for bugs and every now and then you get lucky. what a treat! how intriguing, you think, i can sit here and watch this forever. but you know that's not true. how can you possibly stay here forever... there are more things waiting. you set the rock back in its place and move along. you only hope that you get the chance to tell someone else about what you found under that rock and you hope that they will be just as excited as you were.
